Hello, my name is Rezarta Koka, and I’m originally from Albania. My husband Petraq, son Elger (19) and 15-year-old daughter, Olkea (who works here in the summers) and I have been living in the United States for the past 11 years. While my background was not in education, and I served in different jobs in the customer service industry and love working with people.  I began working as an assistant teacher at Temple Sholom Preschool 3 years ago. I never thought that I would like working with kids as much as I do, but I love it and I’m glad I decided to pursue becoming a lead teacher by taking courses. Working with kids presents its challenges, but it is also rewarding and offers valuable learning experiences. I am happy to be a part of the Temple Sholom Community.

Rainbow Room (Pre-K)

Miss Rachel

Hi. I am Rachel and I teach pre-k here at TSB. Early Childhood Education is one of my greatest passions in life. I am a former elementary school teacher who switched to teaching preschool once I had my own children. Over the summer, I work as the Program Supervisor at Camp Pegasus, a therapeutic day camp for kids with social skill needs. I grew up at Temple Sholom and am proud to say that my children have done the same. They even graduated from our preschool! In addition to teaching preschool, I also teach Hebrew School and Religious School here, run “Tot Shabbat” services at another synagogue. I live nearby, in Broomall, with my husband, Chas, and my three kids: 21-year-old twins, Aaron and Brendon, and Julia, who will be a college sophomore at Millersville.
