Friday Night

Services begin at 8:00 PM every Friday except for the second Friday of each month.

The second Friday of each month is a Family Shabbat Service and has the following schedule:

Tot Shabbat Geared for families with children 6 and under 5:30 PM
Pot Luck Dinner Open to the community 6:00 PM
Family Shabbat Service Geared for families with school-age children 7:00 PM

Saturday Morning

(Saturday morning Shabbat services only occur when there is a B'nei Mitzvah scheduled.)

Our Shabbat Services

In his classic work The Sabbath, Abraham Joshua Heschel meditates on the day "that can soothe all sadness away." Shabbat at Temple Sholom is a time of rest, joy, comfort, music, family, celebration, learning, sharing and so much more! 

Temple Sholom Choir

Shabbat Service  Held at 8pm every Friday but the Second or if there is a Kabbalat shabbat service. This service includes sermons, teachings, music and prayer. Our Choir often participates adding great joy to our service. You may also hear from special scholars and participate in many special experiences. 

Family Shabbat Service Held the second Friday of each month. This service often lead with students is an engaging music and story filled experience. Kol Sholom, our children’s choir and our teen choir often participate. Before the service join us for our community potluck dinner at 6pm. The meal provides a great way to meet and spend time with our warm community. Please contact Jen Isayev at to be added to the evite list.
Kabbalat Shabbat ("Welcoming Shabbat") A joyful, music-driven Shabbat service held several times a year. Approximately one hour long.

Tot Shabbat Held the second Friday of each month at 5:30pm. Join Menschy Monkey, Rabbi Rigler, Cantor Marx and our preschool director Liz Sussman for a fun, engaging and lively service for families with young children (2 - 6 year olds). Come ready to sing, dance and learn as we welcome Shabbat together. After the service join us for our community potluck dinner at 6pm.

Shabbat in the Park A Shabbat service at in nearby Ridley Creek State Park, held in June each year. A picnic dinner and a service you won't forget! 

Shabbat Morning Service Held on weeks when we are celebrating a B’nai Mitzvah. Services begin at 10:30am and are open to the whole community. This service is led by the clergy and the b'nei mitzvah student.
