At Temple Sholom our education program goes by the name Rimon. Why?

“Religious School” does not accurately describe our Jewish education program. Rimon [רִימוֹן] (the Hebrew word for pomegranate) is a unique program where learners co-create their learning by asking questions and investigating aspects of topics of interest to them.

We welcome all learners in Kindergarten through 12th grade to join us in meaningful, relevant, and joyful learning. We put learners at the center as we nurture them to create connections to one another, discover themselves as part of the Jewish story, and see themselves as part of the Jewish people.

Through innovative, student-centered curriculum our learners investigate and explore all that is wonderful in our Jewish history, heritage, and practice. We encourage our learners to express their voices and help to make a difference in our world. Our students are encouraged to ask BIG questions that will help them in finding themselves in our Reform Jewish tradition.
