About Our Preschool
The Etta Natalie Rosenblatt Preschool at Temple Sholom, the only Reform congregation in Delaware County, provides a strong foundation in both Jewish and secular early childhood education in a safe, nurturing environment, where children are free to grow and develop.
Our children develop skills including sharing, taking turns, working through relationships with teachers and peers, and following directions. Play is an important part of our day. Through play, children become aware of the world around them and build a sense of community. We are fortunate to have outstanding trained and experienced early childhood educators who create nurturing and stimulating classroom environments. We look forward to partnering with you to build a foundation of early learning with you and your children!
Our school offers a developmentally-appropriate curriculum based on the PA Early Learning Standards. Experiences are provided in shared reading, discussions, circle time, block building, music, imaginative play, puzzles, language acquisition, pre-reading skills, cooking, math stations, art, science, social studies, kindness, mitzvot and social responsibility.
Program Features
Accepting children ages 3 months through kindergarten

Keystone STARS
Our Preschool was awarded a Keystone Stars facility by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania's Keystone STARS program and continues to meet the standards yearly.
Positive Jewish Identity
Recognizing the importance of forming a positive Jewish identity, we expose children to Jewish culture and tradition. This is done through music, stories, special foods, holiday celebrations, blessings, Friday morning Tot Shabbat, Monday morning Havdalah, and interaction with our Rabbi Peter Rigler and Cantor Jamie Marx. We incorporate Jewish values into our curriculum throughout the year. Our goal is to nurture in each child a strong identity and love of Judaism.
We have Tot Shabbat services the second Friday of every month (during the school year) at 5:30 PM. Join Rabbi Rigler, Cantor Marx, and our Preschool Director Lori-An Penchansky for high-energy music and prayer!
Registration Information
Registration opens each year in mid-winter and works on a rolling basis until classes fill up. Currently enrolled families have priority and then registration opens to new families. Once classes are full, a waitlist process begins. Tuition for both camp and school is based on child's age and schedule and can be obtained by contacting the school office. For more information on tuition or registration, please email the preschool director or call 610-886-2065.
