SukkahSukkot, a Hebrew word meaning "booths" or "huts," refers to the Jewish festival of giving thanks for the fall harvest, as well as the commemoration of the forty years of Jewish wandering in the desert after Sinai.

For our congregation, Sukkot is about living out our deepest held values of welcoming the stranger and building community. Join our Brotherhood to build our two beautiful Sukkot. As we begin Sukkot each year, we open our tent (our congregation) for Sukkot Dinner to woman and children from a Chester shelter. We provide food, clothing, crafts and fellowship. Of course, we also celebrate Shabbat in our sukkah with decorations and a special Oneg!
