Sisterhood 2013

Sisterhood is an active and caring group that encompasses women of all ages. Our Board usually meets once a month, and is open to all Sisterhood members. Programs are held throughout the year, and rotate between mornings, afternoons and evenings to accommodate our members’ lifestyles and schedules. For more information, contact sisterhood@temple-sholom.org.

Sisterhood operates a full service gift shop,  The Gift Garden , which features a bar/bat mitzvah gift registry, an invitation service, personalized kippot, tallitot, ketubot, Passover wines, other Judaica, and snacks. Proceeds from The Gift Garden benefit the Temple. Volunteers operate the Gift Garden. We are always looking for additional volunteers.

This dynamic organization also sponsors a variety of Temple events and programs, including several social action programs, numerous Tzedakah projects, bimah baskets, college and camping scholarship gifts, mitzvah corps, etc. Sisterhood's activities generate significant funds for our congregation.

In addition to new and innovative programs and events every year, Sisterhood annually runs a Welcome Dinner, Holiday Bazaar, Hanukkah Dinner, Sisterhood Shabbat and Closing Dinner.

We invite all members to attend our monthly Board meetings. Bring your ideas and cooperative efforts. There are many opportunities to volunteer. Join us for our special programs scheduled throughout the year. See our calendar below.
